My name is Ian Campbell. I have been in a successful stepfamily for the past 17 years, as a stepparent. I am a psychologist by proferssion and run a small clinical practice in Brisbane. I am now completing my Clinical Masters Thesis t and you guessed it, it is on couple satisfaction in Stepfamilies. I have developed, in conjunction with Bingham Young University- USA a internet based questionnaire on stepfamilies and I am at the stage of recruiting adult participants. I feel trapped and alone in my marriage of 3 years, I have 2 step children boys 13 and 16, and 2 biological 14 and 18 children living with us full time as there mother has done what she needs to for the, so she tells us, she doesn’t want them to live with her but its ok that she buys them expensive presents but will not pay for school fees, turns up outside our house 3 times a week to drop things off to them for 5 minutes why not take them out, the 16 is so rude and his behaviour is terrible. His father works long hours to help put food on our table, but I feel like I am trapped to being a cook, cleaner, washer of clothes ………Help me
