I would have to say after looking back on the last two years of my life, being a single mother was alot easier, less stressful and more rewarding for me. What about you?

I was thinking today about the advantages about being in a stepfamily and having the skids here half the time. This is what I come up with:

* We get one weekend to ourselves each month

* We can leave the skids sheets on their beds for two stays, equivalent to 8 days of sleeping on them

* When the skids are driving me crazy, I rest assured they are going back (most of the time I love having them here)

* I can laze about the house guilt-free when the skids aren’t here without being hassled

* I don’t have to share DH

* I don’t have to prepare proper meals if I don’t feel like it

* I can plan to have visitors when it is just us, or all 5 of us

How do you get thought the half school holidays specially when its nearly 4 weeks???

I am starting to get nervous, anxious and feel a break down coming. I did okay last time dh had the skids for eow.
